Blue Mountain Film Festival Opening

The second edition of the Blue Mountain Film Festival (BMFF) took place June 1 to 4 at Blue Mountain Village. Festival-goers enjoyed 25 films, plus a secret film screening, and an unforgettable lineup of special guests and insightful Creative Forum sessions. Guests in attendance included critically acclaimed filmmaker Atom Egoyan, Academy Award-winner Daniel Roher, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Meredith MacNeill, Aleysa Young, Matt Johnson, Chandler Levack, Shasha Nakhai, Dan Bekerman, Paul Barkin, Paula Devonshire and more.

Collingwood Music Festival Gala

April 25th marked a night of thrilling virtuosity at a fundraiser for the Collingwood Music Festival at the Breakers House, a spectacular venue on the shore of Georgian Bay at Sunset Point. Led by festival director, concert pianist and The New Classical FM host Daniel Vnukowski, guests enjoyed an evening of chamber music with Paganini Ensemble Vienna.

She Loved the Bay Opening

The champagne flowed freely at the opening of “She Loved the Bay,” painter Willi Wildman’s retrospective exhibition at The Gallery at L.E. Shore Memorial Library in Thornbury. Many of the attendees wore French berets to celebrate the late artist’s tradition for her Friday afternoon salon painting sessions and group art shows.

BMFA Art Show

The Blue Mountain Foundation for the Arts (BMFA) presented its 43rd Annual Juried Art Show at The Press Room Gallery in Collingwood. The categories included Adult 2D/3D, Student 2D/3D, Adult Digital and Student Digital. Over 150 submissions were received. Jurors’ scores were based on originality, technique and composition.
