Day tripping is one of the quintessential pleasures of summer. There is just something so liberating, so easy, about hopping in a car without luggage—just a tumbler of great coffee and a playlist to match—and the anticipation of arriving somewhere in under an hour and a half.

One destination, which is perhaps not top-of-mind but most certainly should be, offers a beach club, high-end shopping, fine dining, live music, a selection of curated vendor markets, dance parties and more. Friday Harbour in Innisfil sprung up on the shore of Lake Simcoe in 2017. Since then, it has continued to bloom and evolve into a vibrant and innovative destination serving up unique experiences in a picture-perfect setting.
The Series, which is in its third year, will span two weekends in August and showcase collections by top designers
One of the community’s most exciting initiatives is an annual partnership with the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards, or CAFA, which curates the Fashion Collective Series: a signature summer event celebrating some of the brightest names in Canadian fashion. The Series, which is in its third year, will span two weekends in August and showcase collections by top designers such as BALESSA, Bustle, SHAN, Steven LeJambe, Revelle, Kaela Kay, Tilley, and The Source among others.
The Friday Harbour Fashion Collective Series takes place over the weekends of August 11-13 and 18-20, with runway shows on Saturday August 12 and 19. So pick your best fashionista day-tripping pals, start making your playlist and get ready to drive on down to the Harbour and spend the day in style.
